The Event has come and gone but the long
range effects continue. Thanks to all who made this event such a
success! Lives were changed and neighborhoods will be safer. I was asked
by County Board Chairman Christiansen and Sheriff Meyers to have another
Fair in the Winter and that is what I am going to do. Stay tuned

The Crime
Fighter Event on May 10th is a family event, free to the public and free
to those who wish to set up tables/booths.
Speakers, businesses, organizations, and individuals are
gathering together in a show of strength and unity in efforts to combat
crime.
Join us for the fun, entertainment,
music by Tri-County Express, refreshments,
education, speakers, seminars, demonstrations and discounts from
businesses that day.
Witness all the organizations and individuals fighting crime all in
different ways.
Learn how to avoid becoming a victim as J.J. Bittenbinder makes a
return visit to Rockford for the event.
Learn how to avoid Identity Theft from nationally recognized
expert Hale Guyer.
Kids and Teens, learn to protect yourself from
Bullies.
Ladies, learn how to defend yourself
against attack -Self defense demonstrations.
There will be demos
for kids on how to stay safe and how to avoid abduction. Enjoy the Reco
the Clown, balloons, face painting,
Gangbusters, and coloring book/comic table.
Seminars and training on personal and home safety will be offered for free!
Come and hear County Board Chairman Scott Christiansen, and
Rockford's own Chief Epperson talk about their efforts to keep you safe.
Hear from Paul Gorski Democratic candidate for County Board Chairman.
Come and hear the two gentlemen running for States Attorney
speak; Joe Bruscato and Chuck Prorok.
James Kidd will teach you how to stay
alert and aware of your surroundings in his seminar on Situational
Awareness.
Enjoy the Metro Police K9 demonstration as the dog sniffs out drugs,
guns and corals a "bad guy"
Watch as Rockford's Bomb Robot amazes you.
There will be a booths set up for you to
visit. Learn how to start a neighborhood watch. Packets of
information on personal and neighborhood safety will be available.
